Oslo, Norway – August 9, 2024 – Funcom®, developers of Conan® Exiles and the upcoming Dune: Awakening™, are excited to both reveal and publish a new project today: Conan®: Horde Slayer, developed by Simple Magic for Roblox, the global immersive platform for communication and connection, and available right now on PC, consoles, mobile, and tablets. The cooperative wave-defense gaming experience is inspired by the Purge feature in Funcom’s Open World Survival Crafting game Conan Exiles, in which players must build defenses and fight against waves of enemies to protect their hoard of treasure.
Conan: Horde Slayer is now accessible on the Roblox platform for free. In the game, players group up to enter missions where they must alternate between building up their defenses and holding back wave upon wave of enemies seeking to plunder their Treasure Coffer.
Protecting the Coffer requires strategic resource management and building prioritization. This is the mythical Hyborian Age, a harsh and unforgiving era teeming with ravenous beasts, opportunistic bandits, and foul sorcery. Raise defenses against the hordes, but also against the sudden and deadly storms that engulf the land. Make sure to protect the Thralls which collect supplies essential for building. Survive a set number of waves to emerge victorious.
In the hub area between missions, various merchants and craftsmen will upgrade an array of different weapons and armors in exchange for loot acquired from the slain hordes. In this place, players can mingle, boast of their mighty deeds, and band together. Access higher difficulties by completing missions and earning new titles, from Barbarian to Knight.
Find your allies, choose your gear, upgrade, build, slay, and survive. Conan: Horde Slayer is both accessible and rewarding, allowing you to hit the battlefield charging, and plunge headfirst into glorious combat.
